Beyond Anxious: Anxiety Group Programme for Teenagers in Chobham, Surrey
Starting w/c 13th April | In-person in Chobham | Maximum eight places
Your teenager isn't being dramatic. They're not being difficult, or attention-seeking. They're struggling with the noise in their head, the weight of social dynamics, the pressure of school… And they don't yet have the internal resources to manage it.
Beyond Anxious was created for exactly this.
What is Beyond Anxious? A therapeutic anxiety programme for teens in Surrey
Beyond Anxious is a 6-week therapeutic group programme for young people aged 13–16 who are living with anxiety. Not a school workshop. Not a skills course. A genuinely therapeutic experience, facilitated by two qualified, accredited psychotherapists with extensive experience supporting people of all ages and all walks of life with their mental health.
The group runs weekly, in-person in Chobham, with a maximum of 8 young people per cohort. It’s small enough that every teenager in the room actually matters, and gets to feel a part of it.
Is this anxiety programme right for your teenager?
Beyond Anxious is designed for young people who:
Feel overwhelmed by school pressure, social situations, or everyday life
Struggle to calm themselves down once anxiety takes hold
Find it hard to name or make sense of what they're feeling
Are stuck in patterns of worry that feel impossible to break
Please note: This programme is not designed for young people with complex clinical needs requiring specialist or one-to-one intervention. If you're unsure whether it's right for your teenager, get in touch and we'll be honest with you.
Most anxiety resources for teenagers are built around information: this is what anxiety is, here are some techniques… Useful, but limited.
Beyond Anxious goes deeper. The programme is facilitated therapeutically, which means we're not just teaching your teenager about anxiety. We're creating the conditions for them to actually experience something different within a group of peers who get it, held by two experienced psychotherapists who know how to work with young people.
The peer element isn't incidental. For teenagers, being genuinely witnessed by people their own age, not parents or teachers, is often where the real shift happens.
Why choose a therapeutic group for teen anxiety, and not a workshop?
How Beyond Anxious helps teenagers manage anxiety
Over six weeks, young people in the group develop the capacity to:
Recognise anxiety early, before it escalates
Name and tolerate difficult emotions rather than being overwhelmed by them
Understand what builds and erodes their sense of self
Identify safe relationships and ask for support without shame
Navigate friendships, social pressure, and the harder parts of adolescence with more confidence
These aren't skills to be memorised. They're capabilities developed through experience, reflection and genuine connection, which is exactly what the group is designed to provide.
