Therapists’ Book Club for counsellors in Surrey launching in Woking this October

If you’re a counsellor, psychotherapist or therapist in Woking, Guildford or the wider Surrey area looking for connection, conversation and a reason to finally read that book in your TBR pile, you’re in the right place.

I’m so excited to be launching the Therapists’ Book Club, a relaxed monthly meet-up where therapists (either qualified or in training) can come together, talk books and share ideas over coffee.

Our first session will be Friday 10th October 2025, at Bem Coffee in Knaphill, Woking, and we’ll meet on the second Friday of each month after that.

October's book

For our very first read, we’ve chosen Addicted to Anxiety by Owen O’Kane. It's a powerful, thought-provoking book that explores how anxiety shows up in our lives and what we can do to loosen its grip. It’s bound to spark some rich discussions, both personally and professionally.

The book club isn’t about heavy theory or ticking a CPD box (though I think it could count towards it). It’s about creating a space for connection and reflection

Whether you’ve been practising for years or you’re still in training, you’ll be very welcome.

Feel free to email me at aimee@therapywithaimee.co.uk to find out more.

If you’re looking for a way to connect with fellow therapists, share insights and maybe even see your practice in a new light, I’d love to see you there.
