Therapy with Aimee
Terms and conditions
These terms and conditions outline the professional agreement between me, Aimee Bishop, and my clients to ensure a clear understanding of our therapeutic arrangement.
Fees
Session fees are £55 for each 50-minute face-to-face session or £50 for each 50-minute online session. A limited number of concessionary slots may be available.
Payment can be made via bank transfer and I ask that this is received a minimum of 24 hours before your scheduled session. In the event that payments are not made on time, or payment is outstanding after sessions, the therapeutic arrangement and/or session may be suspended until any debt is recovered.
Fees will increase each year on the first of April.
Session scheduling
We will agree on a weekly session, with a suitable time and day confirmed ahead of our first session.
Sessions should be at the same regular slot each week until we agree to end sessions, by giving a minimum of 7 days' notice.
Sessions are non-refundable and cannot be extended in duration for reasons such as arriving late to appointments.
Holidays and absences
Clients should give at least 7 days' notice if they will not be able to attend a session. If you are unable to make a session with less than 48 hours’ notice you will be charged the full amount.
Subject to availability and where more than 48 hours' notice of cancellation has been provided, I will attempt to reschedule your appointment for the same week where possible.
I will give you as much notice as possible of my absences.
Confidentiality
Counselling sessions are confidential.
If there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, or disclosure of acts of terrorism or serious illegal activity I am bound to inform higher authorities or your GP. Additionally, I may be ordered to disclose information by a court.
All electronic notes and data are kept on a secure and encrypted computer system, while physical, written notes and data are kept in a locked cabinet.
Communication
Contact outside sessions will be limited to informing each other of any unplanned absences. I may contact you by email or phone (including text messages and voicemail).
Attempts should not be made to contact one another on personal social media.
To avoid any embarrassment, please know that if we see one another outside sessions, I will not approach you or acknowledge you first. This is to preserve your confidentiality and anonymity.
Session expectations
All clients (online or face-to-face) must agree not to attend any session while under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs.
Online clients should agree to create an appropriate environment to have online counselling sessions by having a stable and reliable internet connection, being alone in a confidential space, not being in the presence of children and ensuring they are not outside or in a car. Please refer to my Remote Session Policy.
Clients may not record sessions without consultation with me beforehand.
Clients must be physically located in the UK when attending online sessions. This is a condition of my professional insurance and is non-negotiable.
