Therapy with Aimee
Remote Session Policy
This cookie policy outlines the expectations of online counselling and psychotherapy with me, as well as some tips to maximise your experience of online therapy.
I use Google Meet to offer remote counselling and psychotherapy. Google Meet offers end-to-end encryption, meaning that only you and I can see and hear what is being communicated.

In order for the sessions to take place as effectively as possible, please read through the following guidance for online sessions:
-
There will be a set day and time for your appointment, and the session time will begin at the designated appointment time and run for 50 minutes, even if you are late.
-
I will send you a link to connect to the session ahead of time. Please ensure you have the link ready and, if necessary, the app downloaded before your session starts.
-
Please ensure your camera is on and your audio is working correctly. I am unable to proceed with sessions if your camera is unavailable.
-
Please turn off or silence your mobile phone. It may also help to turn off Alexa, Siri or other listening devices to ensure your privacy and minimise distractions.
-
Ensure you are in a quiet and confidential space before joining your session. You as the client are responsible for ensuring confidentiality within your own space while having remote counselling and psychotherapy.
-
Please do not record sessions. Permission may be granted if we discuss beforehand and each sign a consent form. I will not be recording sessions.
-
If you would like to agree on a safe word, perhaps to indicate that you are unsafe or another person has entered the space, please let me know in our first session.
-
In cases of emergency, where you are at serious or imminent risk, the appropriate agencies or services will be contacted.

Please note that I am unable to offer emergency or crisis services. In an emergency, or if you feel you cannot keep yourself safe, please contact your GP, your local police service, or your nearest A&E department.
